At Shou, I work with touch as a form of care, attention and connection.
In my private practice, I offer Tao-inspired massage, where slowing down, presence and attunement are central, creating space for balance, flow and wellbeing. The practice is a place to arrive in your body, to listen to what is present, and to move from there.
Within the healthcare sector, I offer With Care: massage & social bodywork, on location for people in vulnerable phases of life — such as dementia, with disabilities or in palliative care. The work is attuned to what is needed in the moment and forms a meaningful addition to daily care, while also supporting family and caregivers.
Let’s explore together what kind of touch is needed.

Within Taoism, the body is seen as a living micro universe that can naturally return to balance when given space, attention, and flow. From this perspective, the light and serene massage studio offers a place to slow down, where treatments gently move with you.

This treatment begins from the abdominal area — the centre of the body — and expands from there to other areas when needed. The abdomen is central because it houses the organs that play an important role in vital bodily processes as well as in the processing of emotions.
Each session begins with a brief check-in, allowing us to sense what may be asking for attention in your body at that moment. From there, the focus shifts to the body and the treatment itself.
Using a combination of Eastern therapeutic bodywork and classical massage, muscles, connective tissue, lymphatic flow and the organs are gently stimulated or encouraged to relax. In this way the treatment can support circulation, digestion and fluid balance.
Alongside the physical effects, the session invites greater body awareness. Through attentive touch, tension, stress and held emotions in the body can gradually soften and release.

Spring marks the rising of Qi — a gentle shift from the inward stillness of winter toward movement, renewal and growth.
This seasonal massage supports that transition through subtle stretches that create space, long flowing strokes that encourage circulation, and rhythmic techniques such as rocking and tapping to awaken the body’s energy. A quiet reset for body and mind, leaving you feeling lighter, more open, and ready to welcome the season ahead.

Flow Massage is a fluid, rhythmic massage where music, touch and movement come together in one continuous stream. Long strokes and the use of the forearms work with both the surface of the body and the deeper layers of muscle.
The massage unfolds in a steady flow, inviting deep relaxation and softening held tension. Attention will naturally shift from your monkey mind and will settles right back into your body.

Within the healthcare sector, I offer on-site care massage combined with social support for people in vulnerable stages of life. The sessions create moments of calm, safety and genuine attention within demanding care environments.
Through intentional touch and socio-emotional guidance, the work supports not only physical relief and relaxation, but also human connection — a moment in which someone can feel truly seen and acknowledged, exactly where they are in life.
In this way, my work complements regular care by creating space for quality of life and for the person beyond their care needs. It can also support care teams and family caregivers by briefly sharing the weight of care and bringing focused, human attention where it is often most needed.

Social Bodywork
on site
Would you like to bring more calm, connection and human contact into your organisation? Through social bodywork on site I bring touch, attention and movement into the workplace. The focus is on relaxation, body awareness and genuine connection — especially valuable in care, wellbeing and organisations where a lot is happening and much is asked of people.
Get in touchI work with presence, care and respect for boundaries, creating moments of rest and attunement for both clients or residents and staff. When appropriate, I collaborate with a trusted network of care and wellbeing professionals to ensure the support is thoughtful, safe and well aligned.
Each programme is tailored to the setting and may include:
Body awareness and mindful movement (such as Qi Gong, playful yoga mindfulness), for example for older adults or people with disabilities
Chair or hand massage for staff, clients or residents.
Workshops on touch and massage for care professionals, volunteers or informal carers
Snoozing time: massage, sensory stimulation and tactile work in dementia care or disability services
Moments of rest and relaxation within care teams or the social sector
Interested? I’m happy to think along about a form that fits your organisation.
